The practice
About
Maria Mathai Architects delivers thoughtful, well-detailed interiors for healthcare and residential spaces, planned around how people actually use them.
The practice is led by Maria Mathai, who holds an M.Sc. in Building Architecture from Politecnico di Milano, graduating 110/110 cum laude, and a B.Arch from TKM College of Engineering, Kollam, where she graduated with Kerala University's 2nd rank.
Before setting up her own practice in Kochi in 2024, she worked with Studio Oikos in Milan, Mathai Mathew Architects in Kochi and Arun Nalapat Architects in Bangalore.
Every project starts with listening: how a space will be used, who will use it, and what the client values.
